Eight hurt in three ULFA attacks in Asom

Guwahati, Dec 21 (UNI) In three ULFA triggered attacks in Asom today, two in Guwahati itself, at least eight persons have been injured, one of them critically.

A bomb blast was reported from Athgaon area of the city at about 1600 hours in which five persons were injured.

In the second incident in the city, suspected ULFA militants pumped seven bullets at the owner of an automobile shop near Basistha area of the city at about 1615 hours.

The man was rushed to a nearby private hospital in a critical state.

Earlier this morning two persons were injured in a grenade attack at Gaurisagar area of Sibsagar town in Upper Asom. The injured included a 14-year-old boy.

Two motor-cycle-borne suspected ULFA militants had lobbed the grenade.
