BDO and four engineers suspended for discrepancy in NREGS
Ranchi, Dec 21 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today suspended a Block Development Officer(BDO) of Garwah district and four engineers following irregularities in implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme(NREGS) in the area.
Secretary of Rural Development department Ashok Kumar said BDO of Meral and four other engineers were suspended after they were found guilty by the Deputy Commissioner of Garwah.
Mr Kumar said the complaint of irregularity in the scheme was registered by social activist Jean Drez and an inquiry was conducted.
Mr Kumar said Chief Minister Madhu Kora had issued orders to suspend the BDO Chitranjan Prasad and four engineers and lodge an FIR against them.
