14 officials found absent in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 21 (UNI) As many as 14 officials were found absent in various departments at Sopore in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, an official spokesman said today.

He said the Sub Divisional Magistrate and the Tehsildar Sopore conducted surprise visits of the departments of Child Development, Roads and Buildings and the Power Development at Sopore and checked attendance of the officials.

Ten officials of the Child Development department besides two each of Roads and Buildings and Power Development department were found absent from duty, the spokesman added.

He said the absentees included the Child Development officer and the Assistant Executive Engineer.

Their cases have been referred to the authorities concerned for action, the spokesman said.
