Woman killed in grenade explosion

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 20 (UNI) A woman was killed in a grenade explosion and in quick retaliation her brothers slaughered two persons belonging to a rival faction.

The incident occured in the faction torn Pundugala village, in the district today.

A row over occupation of land in an islet in Krishna river for locating brick kilns triggered the clash.

S Manikyam (35) was killed when the grende was hurled. Her father-in-law was the leader of a faction.

The Infuriated brothers of Mr Manikyam, chased her killers and hacked them to death. Another injured person was rushed to the Guntur Govt General Hospital.

The deceased were identified as K Seshagiri Rao (34) and K Srinivasa Rao (30).
