Webel inaugurates Finishing School for IT career
Kolkata, Dec 20 (UNI) Webel Finishing school for IT career was inaugurated here today by West Bengal Information Technology Minister Debesh Das in presence of state Higher Education Minister Sudarshan Roy Choudhury.
Among others, WEBEL Chairman N R Banerjea and its Managing Director Debanjan Datta were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the IT Minister said this kind of an institution was long overdue with West Bengal as they were gaining prominence as an ideal destination for IT Investment. " It is important that we have quality trained manpower to support the rapid expansion. " The main aim of this school would be to help engineering students develop their soft skills as well as requisite technical back-up to make them compatible to the demands of the industry. All candidates who had recently passed or are final year B.Tech, BE, M Tech or ME students would be eligible to apply for admission.
The main aim of this six week-long programme will be to enhance employability of the candidates. Efforts will also be made to organide campus interviews with top corporate houses.
