Two-lakh jobs in next five years: Achuthanandan
Thrissur, Dec 20 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said the state was on the path of development and in the next five years about 2,00,000 employment opportunities would be generated to combat unemployment.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the state's formation here, Mr Achuthanandan said through an industrial complex in Palakkad, Infopark in Kochi and Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram about 2,00,000 jobs would be created.
He said as part of the Golden Jubilee, new projects have been initiated and the ongoing projects were spruced up for state's development.
Mr Achuthanandan said the steps were taken to realise the ten-point development programme of President A P J Abdul Kalam along with the government's six-point agenda.
He said the Kerala Farmers Debt-Relief Bill would be presented for discussion in the next special session of the Assembly.
