Speaker directs J'khand govt to adopt policy on house allocation

Ranchi, Dec 20 (UNI) Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Alamgir Alam today asked the government to adopt a policy on allocating quarters to MLAs and ministers according to their position.

Mr Alam intervening into the matter raised by leader of opposition Arjun Munda said initialy the government had allotted the flats without any critera which resulted into dissatisfation among the legislators.

Raising the issue, Mr Munda alleged that no rules and regulations were being followed during house allocation and demanded a remedy to the problem.

Joining Mr Munda other party MLA Pradip Yadav said the allotment process was extremely 'impratical' and a legislator having problem in his leg was allocated a first floor flat.

Meanwhile, Mr Alam said faults in distribution of quarters were being done from the beginning and directed the government to draw a specific policy.
