Pakistani national arrested with 25 kg heroin
Jammu, Dec 20 (UNI) Border Security Force (BSF) personnel today arrested a Pakistani national along with 25 kg of heroin, worth Rs 25 crore in the international market, a BSF spokesman said.
Acting on a tip off, Jawans of 52 BSF battalion trapped Mohammad Ashraf, 50, from the bordering tehsil of R S Pura sector near international border this morning and recovered 25 packets of addictive drug from his possession, BSF spokesperson Prem Singh told UNI.
Ashraf who hails from Pakistan's Kot Kora Thand Singh village in Pasrur district was apprehended when he crossed over to Indian territory to hide the consignment, Mr Singh said.
''Someone from this (Indian) side had to collect the packets'' the spokesman said, adding the interrogation of Ashraf was on.
