Pachauri meets Swaroopananda

Narsinghpur, MP, Dec 20 (UNI) Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Pachauri had a brief one-to-one meeting this afternoon with Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati at this district's Jyoteshwar Ashram, 45 km from here.

After emerging from the interaction, the minister did not speak to the press about it but it is understood that the discussion centred on Ayodhya's Ram janmabhoomi as the Shankaracharya was in that holy town on November 30 and returned here on December 2.

After December 30 the seer will leave for Prayag to attend the Ardhkumbh and discuss the Ram janmabhoomi issue with other men of religion.

Mr Pachauri, who reached Jyoteshwar by road from Jabalpur, met Congress workers after the interaction with Swami Swaroopananda.

Later, the minister left for Bhopal via Narsinghpur and Hoshangabad district's Seyli Harchan.
