Opium smuggler convicted

Ratlam(MP), Dec 20 (UNI) A local court has sentenced an opium smuggler to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs one lakh and acquitted another accused.

Special Court Judge Abhay Kumar Saksena yesterday convicted Nagulal, while co-accused Gopal was acquitted.

Both were caught redhanded on May 3, 2001 while smuggling five and a half Kg opium to Banswara in Rajasthan, the prosecution said.
