Nine districts get new police chiefs in Punjab
Chandigarh, Dec 20 (UNI) The Punjab government today carried out a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring nine officials, including seven district police chiefs.
In an official order issued here, Naunihal Singh will be the new SSP of Jalandhar in place of Ishwar Singh, whose transfer orders will be issued later. Gurinder Singh Dhillon, who was in the Chief Minister security will be the new police chief of Mohali in place of Naunihal Singh.
Lok Nath, SP Vigilance will be the new SSP of Majitha in place of Gautam Cheema who has been transfered to Moga in the same capacity.
P K Rai goes as SSP Gurdaspur from Moga in place of Paramraj Singh, who goes to Tarn Taran as SSP. P K Sinha goes to Barnala as SSP, from Tarn Taran.
S K Asthana has been transfered from Barnala to Patiala as SSP in place of Pramod Ban who goes to Bathinda in the same capacity in place of Varinder Singh whose transfer orders will be issued later.
