Miscreants decamp with 50 soverign gold jewellery from house

Chennai, Dec 20 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants broke opened the window of a ground floor portion of a two-storied house and made away with 50 soverigns of gold ornaments and other valuables at Thiruvanmiyur last night.

Police said the burglars committed the theft when the inmates of the house were fast asleep in the first floor.

Ms Sagunthala, retired employee of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) and others inmates found the steel almirah broken and valuables missing when they came down to the ground floor.

Based on her complaint police registered a case.
