Miscreants decamp with 50 soverign gold jewellery

Chennai, Dec 20: Unidentified miscreants broke opened the windowof a ground floor portion of a two-storied house and made away with 50soverigns of gold ornaments and other valuables at Thiruvanmiyur lastnight.

Police said the burglars committed the theft when the inmates of the house were fast asleep in the first floor.

Ms Sagunthala, retired employee of the Tamil Nadu ElectricityBoard (TNEB) and others inmates found the steel almirah broken andvaluables missing when they came down to the ground floor.

Based on her complaint police registered a case.
