Marico to promote HairCode brand in Egypt

New Delhi, Dec 20 (UNI) Marico Ltd today said it has entered into a strategic alliance with the Cairo-based Pyramids Group for the hair care brand HairCode and expects to raise the brand's turnover to over 50 million Egyptian pounds in the next financial year.

''This alliance will help the company in leveraging the resources deployed in Egypt, as it is a profitable market and we believe we will raise the brand's turnover upto 50 million Egyptian pounds,'' Marico Group Chief Financial Officer Milind Sarwate said.

HairCode is a leading brand in the Egyptian hair care market and its range includes hair creams and hair gels.

The company had marked its entry into the hair-care market in Egypt when it acquired Fiancee in September this year.
