Lifer for three members of a family in dowry death case

Begusarai, Dec 20 (UNI) A local court yesterday sentenced life imprisonment to three members of a family in connection with a case relating to dowry death.

Additional District and Sessions judge of fast track court Vashisth Shukla handed the rigorous imprisonment for life after they were found guilty of murder.

According to the FIR, Meera Devi was killed by her in-laws in 1993 at Vasudevpur village after her father failed to fulfill their dowry demands.

Those who were sentenced are-- Manoj Kumar (husband), Ramadhar Chaudhary (father-in-law), and Mukesh Chaudhary (brother-in-law).
