Lathicharge on people demanding drinking water

Patna, Dec 20 (UNI) Police resorted to mild lathicharge to clear the road blockade by agitating citizens who were demanding supply of drinking water in their localities near Sheikhpura on Baily road under Shastrinagar police station in Patna today.

Police said that three to four persons sustained minor injuries in the incident.'' Mild force was used following the refusal of agitating citizens to lift the blockade for smooth traffic" police added.

Following action of the police the vehicular movement on Baily road, the main thoroughfare of the state capital was normal, police stated.
