K'taka Govt gives more teeth to Lok Ayukta

Bangalore, Dec 20 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said the State Government has decided to give more teeth to the Lok Ayutka in its efforts to eradicate corruption at the Government level.

Talking to reporters after a meeting with Lok Ayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde here, he said the Government had instructed the officials to implement some of the long-pending proposals of the Lok Ayukta. The implementation of the remaining proposals would be taken up at the Cabinet level, he added.

There was no question of protecting any corrupt official, he said, adding that the coalition Government had done its best to extend all support to eradicate corruption in the State.
