Karunanidhi cancels Delhi visit

Chennai, Dec 20 (UNI) In a sudden development, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today cancelled his visit to Delhi, scheduled for this evening.

Mr Karunanidhi was scheduled to leave for Delhi to attend a dinner hosted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi tomorrow night, but cancelled his visit, official sources said.

The Chief Minister was also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other UPA leaders, but the reason for cancelling the trip was not immediately known.
