HC refuses to grant stay to SDM accused of molesting kid

Allahabad, Dec 20 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today refused to grant stay against order of suspension to Virendra Kumar Dohrey, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Mahoba. who is accused of outraging the modesty of his own daughter.

Dohrey has been suspended by the order of state government passed on November 10,2006 on the basis of an FIR lodged against him under Sections 376,323,352 and 506 IPC at police station Dibiyapur, Auraiya district. The allegation against the SDM is that he outraged the modesty of his own daughter.

The bench comprising Justices Amitava Lala and Sanjay Mishra while refusing to grant stay in favour of the SDM against his suspension ordered for completion of departmental inquiry within three months.

The bench was of the view that conduct of the petitioner is of moral turpitude. The state government has suspended Dohrey on the ground of his prima facie involvement as per police report. The SDM now has been attached with the office of Divisional Commissioner, Chitrakoot dham.
