Godrej introduces new microwawe cooking system

Chennai, Dec 20: Godrej Appliances, a leading player in the home appliances industry has introduced 'Godrej Microsteam', a revolutionary microwave cooking system for the first time in the country.

The new microsteam injects superheated steam into the ovenchamber to prepare steamed dishes faster while retaining the original flavour and nutrient value of the ingredients, according to Mr Kamal Nandhi, Vice President, sales and marketing of the company.

He told newsmen soon after the launch that not only does the microsteam provide a uniform and gentle application of heat to all kinds of foods to keep them soft and moist, it also helps to remove excess fat from chicken.

He also claimed that the new microsteam would be an essential part of our diet plan as it gives the food a steamy and healthy workout.

He said there were several convenient features that have been specially designed to assist the Indian consumer to get the best out of the unique cooking appliance. There were three cooking modes namely steam mode, Grill mode and microwave mode. It also has another advantages like easy cleaning, backlit control panel, he added.

He said the 23 litre microsteam will be priced at Rs 14,990, as the introductory price available in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa.

Popular small screen artiste Ms Mamathi Chari speaking on the occasion said this would be a perfect kitchen appliance for people.

Dr Gomathy Shivaji Eminent Nutritionist said people often told her that they would love to impress their guests by serving healthy steamed or grilled dishes, provided they were tasty and looked good.
