Former MLC passes away

Patna, Dec 20 (UNI) Former Member of Bihar Legislative Council Gopal Sharan Singh died of renal failure at Chandigarh today. He was 58.

Mr Singh was taken to Chandigarh from Bihar and admitted at a hospital there for treatment of renal failure.

Mr Singh entered into the state Assembly from Mandu Assembly segment, now in Jharkhand, in 1977.

From 1998 to 2004, he was a member of the Bihar Legislative Council.

Acting chairman of the state Legislative Council Arun Kumar and others condoled the demise of Mr Singh.
