E Ahamed to lead Haj delegation

New Delhi, Dec 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has nominated Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed to lead the Indian Haj goodwill delegation for this year.

The 25-member Haj delegation will leave for Mecca on December 25.

Other members of the delegation include Justice Nissar Ahmad Kakru from Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh Minister Mohammed Ali Shadir, and Muslim League leaders from Kerala.

Two Delhi-based journalists-- Javed Ansari and Jallalludin Ahemad-- are also the part of the delegation. The delegation will be in Saudi Arabia for three weeks.
