Congress allege conspiracy against AP CM by Daily

Hyderabad, Dec 20 (UNI) The Congress Legisalture Party (CLP) today alleged that a leading newspaper in Andhra Pradesh was trying to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his family members by suppressing facts on the lands issue.

Talking to newspersons here, Congress MLA V Vasantha Kumar said the Chief Minister's family had purchased only 239 acres non-agricutural land in Timmamambapuram village in Kadapa district.

Even the High Court had ruled that the said lands were unfit for farming, he added.

He alleged that the newspaper was bent upon criticising the Chief Minister and the Government by misleading the public that he had purchased over 2500 acres in the village.

They threatened to take legal action against the newspaper, if it failed to withdraw its report.
