CM greets people of Ladhak on Losar
Jammu, Dec 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has greeted the people of the state in general and of Ladakh in particular on Losar mela which marks the commencement of new year in Ladakh region.
Chief Minister said Ladakh has been an important component of high and glorious composite cultural heritage and traditions of state and Losar is a festival celebrated by Buddhists and Muslims together.
He said this indieates Buddhists-Muslim unity which existed since ages when the impact of our civilization was up to Central Asia. Losar would be a harbinger of unity, peace and prosperity for all the three regions of the state. He prayed for well-being of the people of the state on the occasion.
Minister for Power, Nawang Rigzin Jora has also greeted the people of the state in general and those of Ladakh in particular on Losar. Jora hoped Losar of Ladakh would bring peace and prosperity in the state and strengthen secularism, amity and brotherhood for which the state is known all over.
