Chennai Open to be telecast live across 140 countries
Chennai, Dec 20 (UNI) Chennai Open 2007, India's only ATP event to be held here from January 1 to 7, will be spreading its wings to a large global audience through the television with week-long action to be shown live on Zee Sports, SNTV, Fox TV- Argentina, Trans World Sports, Viasat Scandinavia and Bet&Win- Germany.
According to a press release from IMG, the event sponsor, more than one billion households across 140 countries worldwide will be able to watch the matches live.
The event, which is one of the only nine ATP events in Asia will be reaching out to a worldwide audience enabling sports enthusiasts across the globe to get an opportunity to watch the best field ever in the history of the tournament headed by world No two Spaniard Rafael Nadal and world No. eight, David Nalbandian of Argentina.
