170 Air-India passengers stranded at Sharjah Airport may leave tod

Dubai, Dec 20 (UNI) More than 170 Air-India Express passengers, who were stranded at Sharjah Airport yesterday after their flight got delayed due to a tyre burst, may leave today, an airline official told Emirates.

''Flight IX 354 did not take off due to a tyre burst. We hope the flight will leave Sharjah this afternoon,'' the official said.

The passengers, who were served food, were confined to a small part of the airport as they had already passed through passport control but were not given accommodation.
