Women Reservation Bill in Budget Session
New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) The Government will find a way out to introduce the Women's Reservation Bill in the Budget Session of Parliament, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs P R Dasmunsi said today.
He told reporters here that the Government would sort out the matter with the political parties regarding the Bill in the inter session period, so that the Bill could be introduced in the next session.
Asked about the Sachar Committee report, Mr Dasmunsi said the Government would take necessary action in the Budget Session. It would have to ascertain whether the action would involve the Finance Ministry or the Law Ministry.
Mr Dasmunsi said that despite the disruptions and time constraints, the Winter Session of Parliament was able to pass at least 20 legislations which included OBC Reservation Bill for Admission, Tribal Rights Bill and the Supplementary Demands for Grants for General and Railways.
He said the Government had accommodated almost all the issues and debates including the adjournment motions as desired by the Opposition parties. He, however, regretted that the Minister's reply to the discussion on price rise could not take place because of the disruptions caused by the Opposition.
