Virbhadra launches Planning Department's website

Shimla, Dec 19 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today launched the official website of the Planning Department of the state.

The website www.hpplanning.nic.in contains information of all the government departments of the state.

The Chief Minister, while releasing the hard copy of the website, congratulated the Planning Department for the launch of the a long due demand of the people.

He said people would now be able to retrieve necessary information of any department and use the same for bonafide purposes.

Mr Singh informed that the website had been developed with a view to provide information about the decentralized sectoral programme like Vikas Mein Jan Sahyog (VMJS), Sectoral Decentralized Planning (SDP), Backward Area Sub Plan (BASP), Vidhayak Kshetra Vikas Nighi Yojna (VKVNY) and Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD).

He said that it contained the basic guidelines and requirements for the sanction of any scheme for the public. He added that the information on the Web site was also available about the eligible activities being funded by the government under different decentralized sectoral programmes.
