Sutherland Global ramps up headcount

Chennai, Dec 19 (UNI) The New York-based BPO Sutherland Global Services with offshore operations in India, has announced it had ramped up its global headcount to over 15,000 employees.

A company press release said here today on the back of its recent foray into Mexico, the company today announced its latest Global BPO Expansion - Clark in the Philippines and Kochi in India.

It said the company has expanded its presence to a second city in the Philippines with the setting up of operations in Clark.

The company already had two facilities in Manila. The BPO facility in Clark had become fully operational with over 1000 people.

This expansion takes the company's headcount in the Philippines to over 2,000 people, thus surpassing the headcount target of 1,500 people that the company had announced earlier this year for its Philippines operations. The company has added nine marquee customers for its Philippines operations,it added.

The company plans to hire another 1,000 professionals to take its total headcount in the Philippines to over 3,000 in the next 12 months, the release added.
