Stop communalising text books: MP

New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) A senior Marxist member today accused the Rajasthan government of sowing the seeds of communal hatred in the minds of the youth by distorting historical facts in text books.

Mr Hannan Mollah (CPM) alleged that some of the contents of the text books for school students in Rajasthan would ''communalise'' their minds.

Intellectuals and writers had already come out against this, he said during the zero hour.

Earlier, RJD member Devendra Yadav sought the intervention of the Central Pollution Control Board to stop illegal mining in certain areas of Rajasthan's mountainous tracts which had close association with Lord Krishna.

He alleged that the illegal mininig would destroy the vestiges of history in the area, besides causing environmental degradation.

The BJP members were on their feet shouting at Mr Yadav while he was raising the issue as a matter of Public Importance under rule 377.
