Singapore President offers worship at Tirumala

Tirumala, Dec 19 (UNI) Singapore President S R Nathan who arrived from Chennai by road, offered worship of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala temple here this evening.

He was received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board Chairman B Karunakar Reddy and Executive Officer A P V N Sarma at TTD's Padmavathi Guest House.

After worship, Mr Nathan was offered prasadam and portrait of Lord Venkateswara and religious books.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Nathan said bilateral relation between India and Sinapore would be extended in every sectors, especially in cultural and business sectors.

After halting tonight at hill top, the President would leave for Chennai by road tomorrow morning after attending morning rituals at the temple.
