Simi turns table on Irina, grabs second round lead

Pune, Dec 19 (UNI) After an awful opening round of 83, Simi Mehra Guffin turned in an awesome even-par round of 72 to turn the table on overnight leader Irina Brar and opened up a three-stroke lead at the halfway stage of the DLF Women's Professional Golf Tour here today.

On her part, Irina turned in a card of 78, only two strokes better than yesterdays 80, to slip to the second position.

Parnita Garewal, the pro from Chandigarh, managed to drop six strokes from her yesterdays score to turn in a card of 78 today.

The pros came upto the expectations and attacked the course with spectacular shots and improved course management.

Day three would see Simi, Irina and Parnita battling for the top positions a round worth watching.
