Prayers to be offered for welfare of universe

Udupi, Dec 19 (UNI) The presiding deity of the famous Sri Krishna temple here would be offered 'Koti Tulsi Archana' along with recitation of one crore 'Vishnu Sahasranama Pathan' for the welfare of the universe on December 24.

Briefing newspersons here today, Sri Vidyasagara Thirtha Swamiji of Krishnapur Mutt said the archana to Lord Krishna was being performed at the temple for the second time after a gap of five years. The archana of offering one crore tulsi by the seer would begin at 0715 hrs and end at 1130 hrs, with the recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama by 5,000 devotees four times in rotation.
