Plastic plays important role in horti development : NCPAH

Aizawl, Dec 19 (UNI) National Committee on Plasti-culture Application in Horticulture (NCPAH) today reiterated the positive role played by plastic in horticulture.

In the zonal meeting, presided over by M L Chaudhary, Commissioner of Horticulture under Union government at the state agricultural committee hall, the officials pointed out the importance of green houses, shades for plantation of high value crops like anthurium and bird or paradise.

They stressed the point that these would help in quality and quantity production.

The meeting also stressed the vitality of link roads for better production.

Besides the representatives from Government of India, top bureaucrats from the concerned department from the NE states participated in the meeting.
