Orissa defeated Tripura by Innings and 62 runs

Agartala, Dec 19 (UNI) Visiting Orissa today defated hosts Tripura by an innings and 62 runs in the four-day Ranji Trophy Cricket match at the MBB stadium here.

Replying to Orissa's first innings total 306 runs, Tripura made only 74 runs and followed on. Their second innings to overnight score of 82/3 folded 170 runs all out adding only 88 runs today crippling to quick bowlers.

On the second day yesterday in all 17 wickets fell, of them 13 belonged to home side.

Orissa's Vineet and Debasish Mohanty played a superb innings scoring 114 and 53 runs respectively.

Brief score: Orissa 1st innings 306 runs all out Tripura 1st innings 74 and 2nd innings 170.

Orissa won by an innings and 62 runs.
