No political party will be allowed use me: Baba Ramdev

Bhopal, Dec 19 (UNI) Asserting that no political party would be allowed to use his ''popularity'' for ''accomplishing its selfish ends,'' Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev said yoga and spirituality were his only objective.

Baba Ramdev, who was here to meet Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in connection with opening up of Patanjali Yoga Kendra, told UNI that his ultimate goal was to treat people through Yoga.

''Political leaders contact me for receiving information on getting rid of diseases through yoga training,'' he said, adding that his interactions with political leaders and politics was confined to this.

On whether his popularity and saffron dress was being exploited by political parties, the swami stressed that though he wore saffron clothes, he had not been ''saffronised.'' Asked whether he taught some 'asanas' to political leaders and government officials for abstaining from corruption, he said no yoga training could be complete without purifying the body and mind.

The Yoga Guru said a person, who purified his mind through yoga, would refrain from corrupt pratices.

Regarding a notice he recieved from the Union Health Ministry refraining him from making claims that yoga could cure diseases, he wondered what he should say to inspire people to take up yoga.

''It's a puzzle to me,'' he noted.
