NASSCOM to showcase innovative products

Bangalore, Dec 19 (UNI) The NASSCOM Innovation Forum will showcase here tomorrow companies for the Innovation in Products Awards 2006.

Ten shortlisted Companies would demonstrate the uniqueness of their product, its market potential and why they score over their competitors at the one-day session NASSCOM said in a release here.

The NASSCOM Product Innovation awards received an overwhelming response with over 60 per cent of the nominations being filed in this category. This does demonstrate that product innovation is a key thrust area for the emerging companies, the large players as well as the Research and Development centres of multinational companies.

The key focus for the NASSCOM Innovation Forum has been to build innovation as the key differentiator for the Indian IT industry, The Indian IT industry has built a strong brand as a leader in the services domain and was today ranked as the number one offshoring country.

The product industry in India has also been on a growth path and is increasingly witnessing new technology and enterprise products being developed for the international and local markets.
