Mountain climbing contest at Girnar on Jan 21

Junagadh, Dec 19 (UNI) A mountain climbing contest has been organised at Girnar here on Sunday, January 21, 2007.

For men, the event will include climbing 5,500 steps from Girnar foothills(taleti) to Ambaji temple covering Maliparb, the Jain temple, Gomukh and the return journey. For women, it would be climbing 2,200 steps from Girnar foothills to Maliparb.

For men, the record set last year was of 54 minutes.
