Minister admits delay in GO 610 implementation
Hyderabad, Dec 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Rural Development Minister D Srinivas, who heads the Sub-committee on GO 610 Government Order Implementation, today admitted to delay in implementation of the GO for various reasons.
Intervening in the debate on the subject, the Minister pleaded with the Opposition not to point an accusing finger at the Government. ''Instead it will be better if they made positive suggestions to implement the same,'' he added.
Earlier, in a statement tabled in the house, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said the process of identifying non-locals appointed in variance with the Presidential order was a ''time-consuming'' one and the excercise was expected to be completed by June next year.
The percentage of non-locals in 22 districts in all Government employment ranged from a minimum 1.64 per cent in Warangal to a maximum of 13.19 per cent in Vizianagaram district, it said, adding that in Hyderabad district, the proportion was higher at 24.66 per cent. This was because of larger proportion of the offices not covered by the Presidential Order.
