Militants use mobile phones : Govt

New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) The Government today said mobile phones were being used by the PoK/Pak-based militant leadership for communication with their cadres operating on the Indian side.

Available reports pointed to this, Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal told the Lok Sabha, while maintaining that action has been initiated to check such activities by upgradation of intelligence network, introduction of modern surveillance equipments and coordination amongst the various intelligence agencies.

He gave the information in reply to a written question on the subject.
