Man arrested in AP gun seized

Tirupati, Dec 19: Police arrested a 33-year-old man hailing from Maharasthra and seized a gun from him at Alipiri tollgate here today.

Police said Dinesh Panduranga Bhagle, carrying a bag containing a gun, bullets and Urdu literature was arrested while he was proceeding to Tirumala in a jeep.

As part of security measures all vehicles proceeding to Tirumala are being thoroughly checked by the police and personnel of the TTD Vigilance wing at Alipiri, the foothills of seven hills.

During interrogation, Bhagle said that he had found the gun in the Sabari Express train.

Police was probing the case in depth as Lord Venkateswara temple was on the terrorist list.
