Kalam inaugurates 2nd phase of Navajeevanam dialysis centre

Kochi, Dec 19 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today inaugurated the second phase of the Navajeevanam free dialysis centre, run by the Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust, here and suggested that the centre should starts mobile dialysis service.

Congratulating the Trust for its charitable activities, the President said the mobile dialysis service would help to reach the facility to the patients' homes.

Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust Executive Director Anandakumar said the Navajeevanam centre is currently providing free dialysis service to 12 patients at Lakshmi Hospital here.

With the launch of the second phase today, this facility would be extended to 12 more patients at the FACT Hospital, Eloor, he added.
