Intnl conf on advanced computing from Dec 20

Mangalore, Dec 19: The 14th international conference on advanced computing and communications, ADCOM-2006, will be held for from December 20 at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in Suratkal.

The main objective of the four-day conference was to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of computing and information technology across the globe and provide a forum to showcase advances in technologies from a systems and software engineering perspective, a release from NITK said here.

The theme of the conference would be 'Autonomic Computing', emerging as a significant strategic and holistic approach to design computer-based systems.

A wide range of topics such as autonomic computing, ubiquitous computing, parallel and distributed computing, internet and web computing, mobile and wireless computing, databases, bio-informatics, image processing and pattern recognition would be addressed during the sessions.
