I am prepared to battle with Capt Amarinder, says Sukhbir Badal
Jalandhar, Dec 19 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) general-secretary and former Union Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said he was all prepared to face a defamation case, if filed by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh or his ''coterie'' in connection with his allegations made against them.
Talking to reporters here today, Mr Badal said that whatever he had said about Rs 3200-crore mega scandal allegedly involving Capt Singh and his associate Kewal Dhillon or about the Ludhiana's City Centre scam, was based on facts and he would produce documentary evidences in the court, if they file a defamation case against him.
Mr Badal said that he was not scared of any threat of court cases rather he was ready to face legal battle over the issue.
''Moreover, I invite Capt Singh to have a public debate with me at any forum on mega scandals being raised by me,'' Mr Badal said.
Mr Badal had recently alleged that the Chief Minister had passed on undue benefits to his friend, Mr Kewal Dhillon, in approving a series of mega projects for the latter's company.
In response to the allegation, Chief Minister Capt Singh had told mediapersons in Patiala yesterday that Congress leader Kewal Dhillon and Kulwant Singh of Janata Land promoters will soon file a criminal defamation case against SAD general-secretary for making false allegations against their companies.
