HC dismisses election petition against Radhakrishnan
Kochi, Dec 19 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today dismissed a petition filed by T D Byju, an elector in the Adoor Assembly constituency challenging the election of Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan from the constituecy.
The Petitioner challenged the election on the grounds that Mr Radhakrishnan, his election agents, close aides and workers had printed and published a poster without disclosing its publisher and and printer amounting to corrupt practices under section 123[4] of the Representation of People Act.
Dismissing the petition, Mr Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan said the petition did not disclose any cause of action to be tried.
Mr Radhakrishnan had won the election by a margin of 18,400 votes over his nearest rival D K John.
