Four die after consuming poisonous halwa

Ajmer, Dec 19 (UNI) Four people, including three brothers, died late last night after consuming poisonous ''halwa'' in Ajmer district.

According to police, the incident occured in Lamgara village in Bhinay division, where three brothers Ramdhan(18), Shankar(13), Sanwra (9) and one Ramraj (25) of Lamgara village had gone to their fields to guard them from animals. They reportedly prepared the halwa late in the night and ate it there.

The four were found dead in their field today morning. Their pet dog also died after consuming the halwa.

Post-mortem was conducted on these bodies at the site and the bodies were handed over to the relatives. Their joint cremation was conducted today.
