Five-tier Rajagopuram to be constructed in TN temple

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, Dec 19 (UNI) A five-tier 'Rajagopuram' (temple tower) would be constructed for the renowned Budhapurishwarar temple at Sriperumbudur in Kancheepuram district.

Talking to newspersons here today, Congress leader S A Arulraj said a large number of devotees, who visit the 1000-year-old ancient temple, regret the absence of a tower.

A five-member committee has been formed to look into the construction of the tower, he added.
