Fespa to hold 2nd edition of printing expo in 2007

New Delhi, Dec 19: Focussing on large-format digital printing technology in the country, 'Fespa World Expo India 2007' -- a three-day event will take place in the national capital from December 7 next year.

Aimed at the Indian, West Asian and Asian screen printing and wide-format digital imaging markets, the Fespa (Federation of European Screen Printers Association) team has already received bookings for 30 per cent of the available floor space, predominantly from suppliers who exhibited in 2005.

FESPA has again appointed specialist exhibition organiser services international as its local agent to promote the show throughout India and the region.

With the event still one year away, indications are that 'Fespa World Expo India 2007' will be even larger than the inaugural exhibition in 2005, where visitors enjoyed a showcase of leading-edge screen and digital printing technology from more than 150 global exhibitors, covering 3,220 m2 of exhibition space.

Fespa's Exhibitions Director Frazer Chesterman says,'' The exhibition will feature even more exhibitors, more innovation and more opportunities to do business, as the world's leading suppliers of screen and digital printing hardware and consumables converge here next December.'' The body's Chief Executive Officer International Services Sandeep Gurwara adds, ''FESPA is an ideal platform for Indian screen and digital printers to demonstrate their expertise, not only to visitors in the region but also to the international exhibitors.'' Attracting over 10,000 visitors from around the world, the event featured live machine demonstrations in 2005.

Economic data indicates that the value of output in the Indian printing industry exceeds six billion dollars.
