Employee arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Dec 19 (UNI) Sleuths of Vigilance Bureau today arrested an employee of circle office at Sabour when he was receiving Rs 3000 as bribe from a villager in Bhagalpur district.

Additional director general of state vigilance bureau, Neelmani said today that trap was laid following a tip off from one Ganesh Yadav about the demand of money by an employee Ashok Yadav to extend him favour in a case relating to mutation of a plot of land.

Altogether 19 pass books were recovered during the raid carried out at the residence of Yadav at Jawaripur village in Bhagalpur district which indicated the deposit of more than Rs 7 lakh in various banks he added.
