Court grants Uphaar victims locus standi

New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) A city court allowed the Uphaar Theatre Victims Association to submit written arguments in the case.

Additional Sessions Judge Mamta Sehgal had earlier questioned the the locus standi of the victims.

However, the permission is qualified and the victims' cunsel KTS Tulsi may not rise to argue.

The court will hear on January 2 the defense plea of the MCD staff facing criminal charges against them. The Ansals, owners of the theatre, will argue later on February 14, 15 and 17.
